Workout Meals
I hope this has helped with deciding what, when and if to eat before you work out! Share your pre-workout routine with me and Hugh via twitter or instagram by hashtagging #Fitfor15, we LOVE to see how you’re doing! x

What should you eat before you work out? Or should you eat at all?

I think that if you’re doing a gentle work out, or a short cardio work out, you don’t necessarily need to eat anything before hand. If you eat, your body will burn what you have just eaten as fuel rather than burning fat in your body.

However I do eat on when I’m weight training!

Hugh says that you need to get to know your own body and work out what works for you.

If you are doing any intense or long training it is important to fuel your body before you work out.

We recommend a handful of almonds as a snack before your workout. If you’re having your main meal before you work out then make sure you eat an hour and a half or two hours before you work out.

If you’re working out in the morning, a bowl of oats or some eggs are a good fuel for your workout.
