Are you ready for a killer workout? If you haven’t done drop sets before, you are going to see why this kind of workout helps you build more muscle and get a good pump! These next 4 videos you see from me are going to be 4 different workouts, 2 for upper body and 3 for lower body. For the upper body, we are going to have a push day, which is today. The second upper body workout is going to be a pull day.

What are DROP SETS? It is a great way to increase the intensity level of your workouts! You want to pick a weight that is hard to do for 10-12 reps then you drop to a slightly lighter weight and do the same exercise again till failure. After that, drop the weight again to a slightly lighter weight and go till failure again. Now, let’s get started with the exercises in this upper body workout for men over 50 with drop set destruction!

Exercise #1: INCLINE DUMBBELL PRESS. Make sure you are utilizing good form by exploding the weight up then controlling the dumbbells on the way down. With as little rest as possible after the first 10-12 reps, lower the weight then go till failure. You are going to do that one more time, doing 2 drop sets per exercise.

Exercise #2: TRICEP PUSHDOWNS. You can use resistance bands, or a cable machine if you are at the gym. Make sure you pick a resistance that is difficult for 10-12 reps then lower the resistance and go till failure, doing a total of 2 drop sets for this exercise.

Exercise #3: LATERAL DUMBBELL RAISES. This is an amazing exercise to build your shoulders. You are really going to feel the burn, especially during the drop sets. Keep a slight bend in your elbows, and you do not need to bring the dumbbells higher than shoulder height. Again, you are going to do a total of 2 drop sets for this exercise.
