Simone Biles is the greatest athlete in women’s gymnastics, no questions asked. Can you guess who the most decorated gymnast, period, is in World Championship history? Yeah, it’s her, too. On June 4, the first night of the 2021 US Gymnastics Championships for senior-level women, the 24-year-old came out to flip and twist in a leotard that subtly showcased her accolades — on the right shoulder was an adorable (but mighty) rhinestone goat.
The goat has made an appearance before. Just a few weeks ago at the GK US Classic, where she debuted her iconic Yurchenko double pike vault, it was there, on her mid-back, in all its bejeweled glory. The goat also came along for the ride ahead of the 2019 US Gymnastics Championships.
Biles is en route to claiming a record seventh national all-around title — breaking her tie with gymnast Clara Schroth-Lomady, who also holds six national all-around titles on the women’s side — and we’re glad she has this good-luck charm to keep her company. (Not that she needs it one bit.) Ahead, check out a few photos of this goat leotard at 2021 Nationals. It’s record-setting, gold-medal energy, and our vote for the official Simone Biles goat mascot is . . . drumroll please . . . Goldie, Goldie the goat. Thank you, and goodnight!
