Ingredients

SWEET CHILI MEATBALLS

  • 1 lbs. ground beef, lean
  • 1 egg
  • 2 bags Quest Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips, crushed
  • ¼ cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup hot sauce (Tapatio)
  • ¼ cup sugar free syrup (Wholesome Yum Honey)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Sesame seeds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine. Separate the mixture into 20 evenly sized meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  3. Bake the meatballs for 10-12 minutes and then broil for 2-4 minutes to brown the tops.
  4. While the meatballs cook, place all the sauce ingredients (except the sesame seeds) into a pot over medium heat.
  5. Stir and let simmer until the meatballs are done.
  6. Add the meatballs to the sauce and toss until everything is well coated.
  7. Serve immediately.
