The holy grail of a fitness program is to be able to combine the ability to gain muscle and lose fat, wouldn’t you agree. Well, it is possible, and in this video, I’ll show you how you can achieve it with a simple 3-Day strategy. So, gain muscle, lose fat, get healthier, and get fitter. Here at the Fit Father Project, we’re in your corner all the way!!
**Fat Burning Workout (1:12)
When it comes to the fat-burning part of your gain muscle lose fat workout, my recommendation is to use full-body strength training workouts in a circuit fashion. This basically means using 1 exercise per body part and doing these one exercise after the other for 4-8 rounds. For example, Dumbbell swings, Squat, Shoulder Press, Press-ups, and Rows.
Not only will this type of gain muscle lose fat workout plan develop your muscles and burn fat during the exercise, but it will also increase your metabolism, so you burn more fat during times of rest too. A boost to your metabolism by increasing your muscle mass will be key to helping you burn fat and gain muscle.
**Muscle Building Workout (3:30)
The muscle-building part of this type of workout plan is fairly similar to the fat-burning, using full-body strength training. However, the format is different, in that you will use heavier weights and focus more on lifting as heavy as you can for a set number of reps and sets. My recommendation is to do 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps, for 1 exercise per muscle group.
Training like this will help you to gain muscle, lose fat, and improve your physique by a process called muscle protein synthesis, which is kicked off for around 24-48 hours after lifting weights. Therefore, doing this kind of workout, 3 days per week, spaced 48 hours apart will make the most of this and help you gain muscle effectively!

What you’re really here for is the best combination of the two, right? You want to learn how to gain muscle, lose fat, and get in great shape in the shortest time and most efficient way possible. Ok, so a combination effort of the two types of training I have suggested above is what you need. Combining strength training circuits and full body muscle building workouts is the way to go.
