In this presentation, recorded in 1990, Mike Mentzer reveals the program (exercises, sets, reps, frequency) he was using to get back into muscular shape after a lengthy layoff. While his recommendations would change (he would recommend less volume and more days off in between workouts for those of lesser tolerance for hard training), this was the program that he used successfully in training for competition back in the day and prior to his later reformulation of his “Heavy Duty” training system.
