Monasterio wasn’t always in such good shape. Monasterio, a former teacher who only started bodybuilding when she was 59, is now a life coach and author who markets her daily routine as “The Dr. Josefina Way.”
It goes like this: First, she wakes up at 3 a.m. and reads the bible to keep herself spiritually strong. Then, she meditates for 90 minutes before going for a six-mile run. By 6 a.m., she’s practicing yoga and having breakfast before a two-hour gym workout at 10 a.m. By then, it’s lunchtime, and after her quick meal of chicken and veggies, she’s ready to relax for the rest of the day.
On second thought, maybe we’ll just sleep in.
