With the passing of ‘90s rap legend Earl Simmons, aka DMX, it feels appropriate to look back and listen to the influential body of work he leaves behind. Luckily, as frequent gym-goers, we all get to do that on a regular basis. Walk into any big gym at 6 p.m. on a Thursday night, and to this day, there’s a solid chance “Party Up” or “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” will be on the playlist.
