If you are just starting your weight loss journey in 2015 here are some things to be aware of. If you’ve been on a fitness journey for a while, these will sound pretty familiar!

We all have expectations while begining our weight loss journey but those expectations change drastically once you are in the midst of your weight loss journey!

1. Shredding pounds and losing weight is a slow process. “Slow progress is progress”…but what may not stick is just that, it is a SLOW process and a very very slow one. (Just tryna stress it to ya!) But keep at it. Keep eating healthy and being active and you will see the results!

2. THE SCALE IS BI-POLAR!
You will see ups and downs as your weight fluctuates. This is because muscle weights more than fat. Don’t obsess over the scale and trust the weight loss process. In the end you will be happy with your results!

3. YOU WILL CRAVE THE BAD FOOD ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY, STAY STRONG!
I don’t know why this happens (maybe our rebel nature) but you will crave what you cannot have (or shouldn’t have.) Those twinkies you never dreamed of eating in the past will suddenly look very yummy to you. No one said losing weight was going to be easy. Fight those craving and stay strong!

4. WATER WILL BECOME YOUR BESTIE!
If you’ve never liked drinking water in the past, that will change very soon. Because you want to get rid of those sugary unhealthy beverages, you will cling to water and learn to love it!

5. EXERCISE WILL BECOME FUN!
Yup, I said it. FUN AND EXERCISE IN THE SAME SENTENCE? Yes my dear! You are going to love it and look forward to it! It’s a beautiful thing!

I hope this helps someone out there who does not know what to look forward to during your weight loss journey. Get ready for struggle and achievements all at the same time. It’s a beautiful thing!

After having one of those days I found it necessary to motivate not only myself towards my weight loss journey in 2015 but YOURS! Watch this video as I mention the top 10 ways to stay motivated through your weight loss, fitness, health journey!

1. It is important to realize your potential! Know that you are worth it and the healthy eating and exercise you do will pay off!

2. Change up your workouts! You don’t want to get bored doing the same 30 day shred video etc, this can also help you avoid a plateau which are no fun by the way!

3. Motivational props! Start a sweat stash and see the accomplishments you’ve done! A great visual way to see how far you’ve come!

4. Journal! Journaling is a great way to track you’re journey and see how far you’ve come from day one

5. Vent! Relieve yourself of stress so that the struggles you deal with do not stop you from continuing! YOU CAN DO IT!!

6. Take Measurements: DITCH THE SCALE! Taking measurements is a better way to see your progress. Check your arms, legs and tummy!

7. Buy new workout clothes! Make it feel like you just started your journey! Feel good in your skin!

8. Get down to your favorite song! You know that Beyonce song you love so much? BLAST THE ISH and start running! See how much faster you’ll go!

9. Watch motivational video! Go on instagram, Pinterest or message boards and get inspired by peoples journeys LIKE ME! Humor boards on Pinterest for health and fitness are hilarious! It will make your day!

10. Accountability! Let people know you are on a journey so that you STICK TO YOUR WORD! It will force you to stay dedicated and avoid Mcdonalds during your weight loss journey this year!

    Really great topic! :) Loved the video and your personality! You've got a new subbie! I just uploaded a video about my new weight loss journey yesterday too. This was some great inadvertent motivation too! I can't wait to get a month in. It's a struggle right now lol. Once I get at least 3 weeks in, it'll become a habit and eating healthy and exercising will start to come from a more natural place. Excited to see your progress!

    Dear Michael, greetings from pakistan. I have started listening to your video since 1May 2016 and am happy to report that I have noticed many changes in myself. I used to swim but since last week I have also added cardio and strength training to my fitness regime. The most noticeable difference is that whereas I used to dread the idea of cardio and gym, now I actually enjoy it:). I also feel more alive and have started reading books f which I had been planning to read for many months but just couldn't find the motivation to do so.

    In terms of weight my goal is to lose 15 kegs over a six month period. I haven't weighed myself yet so don't know if I have shed any kilos/pounds yet but I know that slowly and surely I will certainly get there.     I waited about two weeks of doing this before coming up with a verdict. I've honestly seen a huge difference. I'm not overweight anymore but I've still struggled with my relationship with food. I tend to binge when upset or starve myself when I want to lose a few pounds. This helped me form healthier eating habits thus far and helps me utilize wholesome ways to lose a few pounds like exercising and making good choices rather than just not eating. So thank you very much for making this. :)

    I'm not going to lie I was a skeptic at first when a friend told me about this video but I figured I would give it a shot and after 2 weeks of listening to it every night I have dropped 16 pounds I crave healthy food and I love going to the gym now and look forward to working out I have more energy than I have in a long time and I just feel so much more alive I wish I had found this video sooner this has truly been life-changing so far

    Hi Michael, i found your videos when a friend of mine told me that i have to clear my head, remove the negativity and stay positive, and he advise me to do some meditation to myself. and it is true that once you are depressed you tend to gain weight because we divert our mind by eating alot. while searching on youtube i came across with your videos, i listened to one or 2 videos and really…it made a lot of difference in me specially when i am having a hard time to sleep because of so many things running in my head, the fears, anxiety etc. listening to your videos make me feel more light, and stress free… and thanks to you coz some of my colleagues noticed that despite of eating i am loosing some pounds without even depriving myself in eating the foods that i want!!!!! thanks you so much for sharing your videos and keep uploading positive affirmation in order to achieve our goals.

    Hey, after playing this last night, I fell asleep after 30mins of listening, I have a lot of trouble with sleeping due to an active mind at night, and this hypnosis calmed me right down…. I just began university and have been worried as to how I was going to cope with my poor sleeping habits and health issues, always up and snacking on crap… Self hypnosis does work because I've done this in the past and had the same awesome results but fell out of habit with it when I replaced meditation with talking to the guy I liked for almost two years (that was hypnosis in itself), he took up a lot of my evenings. Anyway I'm back for good, I love these guided hypnosis and it's necessary for me. Thank you very much for your wonderful work on this Audio ! ☺️

    I fell assleep through most of this but I ate when i woke up and had very little. My stomach was growling but after a few bites I got bored with eating. The food and juice I drank, tasted dull. like almost impossible to taste.

    seriously awesome. my mind was really fighting to stay awake last night on the second stair. I thought for sure I would remember, but I'm out cold by the time I'm down the steps no matter what! lol I'm not sure if it's the better sleep or this particular video but I've been going to the gym more either way! so thank you! 🙌🙌🙌👍😴

    Wow !!i listened to this last night! I don't even know what is said because I fell asleep lol but I've been trying to eat healthy lately and get from a uk size 10 to an 8 again but I've suffered with bulemia over the years and tend to still have a Binge from time to time ! I got the urge to have a binge just there and stopped myself!! For the first time ever and made myself a fruit smoothie instead !! I am actually in disbelief!! Something inside me just said no!! Your not doing that!! Thank you Michael!! This is life changing for me!! You are amazing!!
