Welcome to Day 4 of the #30posejourney & today’s pose is…

Downward Facing Dog. Or Adho Mukha Svanasana.

Today’s posture is all about this – learning the proper techniques, recruiting the necessary muscles, communicating with yourself, and staying present while it unfolds.

Downward Dog Tips:

-Create a base of support with the hands by spreading the fingers wide, pressing beneath the knuckles, and between the thumbs and index fingers.

-Focus on your arms – rotating the upper arms outward, bringing eyes of the elbows forward, and hugging the lower arms towards one another.

-Engage the belly area, hug the lower ribs in (don’t let them poke out), as you send the sits bones up to the sky.
