Fine tune your Bow Pose (Dhanurasana). We break down the yoga pose.

Dhanurasana – Bow Pose is a posture resembling the shape of a bow. Dhanurasana steps when followed and practised in the right manner has proven to positively ease constipation and menstrual discomfort.

Dhanurasana benefits also include stimulation of the reproductive organs, strengthening the back and abdominal muscles, along with toning of leg and arm muscles. The bow pose benefits those with kidneys problems as well.

The posture is however not advisable for women during pregnancy, those with high or low blood pressure. Those with neck injury, lower back concerns, hernia, migraine headaches and any kind of recent abdominal surgeries are not advised to practise this pose.
